LEBOWSKI & other BIG shots
Hi everyone,
I'm back with another post.. I apologize for the lack of content, but I obviously only write about interesting things, whenever I'm going to events or if I'm doing something fun..and classes have started so not many FUN things have been happening lately haha.
Anyway today I wanna share with you guys some pictures of a photo exhibition that I attended last week here in Bologna.
My brother's passion is photography and he was in town last weekend so he took me and Carlotta to Jeff Bridges's exhibition:
It took place in the beautiful "ONO ARTE CONTEMPORANEA",an art gallery\bookshop\record store\artistic space in Via Santa Margherita 10.
It was my first time going there and I have to say that the place is absolutely beautiful and filled with amazing pieces of art (if you're interested in music, books and films I really recommend to check it out whenever you're in Bologna).
Click the link to their website in case you're not living here and you wanna snoop around.
You probably know Jeff Bridges from his role in "The big Lebowski",the iconic movie brought to you in 1998 by the Coen Brothers.
If you've never seen it,go to your local Blockbuster, buy it, then run home and enjoy it..you'll thank me later :)
From this stunning exhibition I learned that he's not only an incredible actor but a very capable photographer too, well done Jeff!!
The pictures were taken on the sets of the movies he was shooting, that's why you can spot some familiar faces in these shots. He even shot Robin Williams(just saying).
Matt Damon
Hailee Steinfeld
Michelle Pfeiffer
Meryl Streep
Jeff Bridges himself
Robin Williams
Here is a picture of the beautiful David Bowie wall they have (and my brother having an intense moment with it)! I definitely want this in my room.
And a really cool version of Alice in wonderland,my favorite book.
These are the pictures I took while we were there,I hope you guys enjoyed them and I'll talk to you soon.
Love,
Jo.

Lazy,rainy afternoons
How you doing? The weather here is very gloomy and I love it because I can relax at home aaaall day,and since classes haven't started yet I don't even get to feel guilty for procrastinating! YESSS.
That's why I'm currently chilling on my bed with a green tea eye mask that I got from Sephora yesterday (and I look something like this hahah).
Chill time:
This mask is seriously so refreshing and calming,if your eyes are feeling tired and baggy I would recommend it 100%! :)
I've been looking for some good face masks lately but there are so many around that I can't pick one.. please let me know what are your favorite face products cause winter is coming and I need some serious skin care!!
Ok I'm gonna go back to doing nothing now haha.
I'll talk to you guys soon.
Love,
Jo.

Got a Hat!
autumn is finally approaching and I couldn't be happier.
I LOVE fall fashion (as most people do),the cozy vibe and The rainy days..especially the free ones, when your only duty for the day is lay in bed.
But I have to admit that I'm also very excited for university to start again,There's something in the school routine that gives me so much comfort.
Here's a selfie that I snapped while wearing my brand new suede Fedora hat that I got from Zara the other day! I absolutely adore it and I'm so ready for the colder days to come.
I hope you guys are as excited for school as I am and I wish you the best Sunday!
Love,
Jo.

Pink skies
Hey guys,
I just wanted to quickly post some pictures of the sky that I snapped with my phone yesterday.
I know it doesn't look like those "california pink skies" pics that are all over instagram haha but hey.. I live in the italian countryside, where the sky is basically always beautifully blue so seeing it this color yesterday when I was leaving my house to go out for dinner was incredible.
I love looking at the sky soooo much, at any moment of the day and I absolutely adore it at night.
How does the sky look like where you guys live?
Love,
Jo.

Book of the day
Hey guys,
long time no blog.
I'm sorry for not keeping up with JITM lately but today I'm coming back with a book, yep!
I just bought "Norwegian Wood" by Haruki Murakami and I can't wait to start reading it; I've heard so much about this book, first from a friend of mine and then by everyone and people seemed to like it a lot so I decided to give it a try.
This is the first book I read that's been written by Murakami but I've read that he's a spectacular writer and I'm very curious, plus I'm fascinated by the fact that he's Japanese because I've never read anything from Japanese writers but I'm really attracted by their culture,I think it's so different from ours and I'm seriously so excited to get to know his point of view on love and life 'cause from the little amount of informations I have about the book it basically revolves around a love story.
here's the picture of the book I own:
I'll make sure to write a review as soon as I finish it.
I'm sure it's gonna be awesome,I'm so happy. Yayyyy.
Love,
Jo.

Giulia Mazza Photography
Hello guys,
I come back to life after a long period of silence, lazyness and research, but enough with making excuses, let's jump to some more serious stuff..shall we?
Today I wanted to talk to you about Giulia Mazza, she is a young italian photographer who recently did an exposition of her photos at "Play Zoo" (the beautiful cafè that I told you guys about here).
I snapped some pictures of her pictures (I'm not funny I know, just pretend) with my fellow phone just cause I wanted for you guys to see how talented she is,she's a really good photographer so here you have it.
My photos aren't as good as hers haha but if you guys are interested in checking out her work I leave you the link to her website, just click here.
I hope you'll like her as much as I do and I'll talk to you soon.
Love,
Jo.

when studying goes wrong
The only thing that I don't like about studying on my laptop is that I get easily distracted by Photo Booth way too often haha !
Here some pics to prove that studying really makes me lose my mind!!
but seriously shout out to Photo Booth for making such a good study-break hahah
..Oh and tea of course! I couldn't survive without some hot tea on my desk :)
One day exams will be over, and this is going to make some sense!! right?..
Hope you guys are good and I'll talk to you very soon.
Love,
Jo.

Artist of the month
Hey,
Today's post is dedicated to a new artist that I completely fell in love for; I'm talking about Hozier.
I'm sure all of the people reading this already know who I'm talking about but in case you guys don't know who he is,he's a young Irish singer,in fact he's only 25 and has already gained so much success mostly during the past year.
His debut song "take me to church" is absolutely beautiful,I like everything about it..the lyrics, the melody, the meaning!
You guys should check his album..every single song is perfect.
Of course it depends on what kind of music you guys like, his style is inspired by folk, soul and blues..you'll hear a lot of guitar and choirs in his songs so if you like that you'll be very pleased ;).
I've been listening to him on spotify on repeat hahah I can't help it! Here's 2 screenshots of my favorite songs from the album.

Fun fact: both the album and the EP covers were painted by his mother, who's obviously a great artist.
I hope you guys like him at least as much as I do :) The title of this post is "Artist of the month" but I should probably say Artist of my life.lol.
I'll talk to you soon.

steam
Today's post is all about this cool little coffee place in Bologna.
It's one of my favorite places to go to whenever I'm a little sad or if i feel uninspired,I find it is very relaxing and inspiring..it has a bunch of books for every kind of person haha they even have books for kids plus they make amazing pastries, vegan and vegetarian bagels and soups! Yum!
It's called "Play Zoo" and I went there yesterday with my Bestfriend and roomie Carlotta :)
These are some pics for you guys to see this beautiful little place.
LOL look at the steam on her glasses while she was drinking her coffee haha!
We ate so much and then we walked home for one of our little selfie-sessions hahah.I love carlotta so soooo much!!
If you guys ever come to Italy and stop here in Bologna I really recommend to go to this place,it is in "strada maggiore",it's so worth it!
Lots of love,
Josi.
